We've been together almost 3yrs and he just randomly broke up with me one morning. He said he needed to think about our relationship without being in it to be positive that I am what he wants for the rest of our lives. It hurts but I respect it. He says he loves me but feels that he should have met me in the future after he has done all the irresponsible stuff a young guy "should do". I'm not sure how I feel about that part. I am I few Years older than him but I feel I have put my life goals and wants on hold so he doesn't feel rushed to grow up, get married, have a family etc. I just want us to have fun but still be in a serious committed relationship. I'm just worried that when he Is done thinking about us, he won't want us anymore. I'm not sure if I should just sit and wait to get heartbroken even more.

If I was you, I would date other guys.. Not have sex with them but have fun! It's really not fair for you to sit and wait for him to decide if he's wants to be with you long term... This way if he decides that he doesn't want this relationship if won't hurt as much.. Good luck !!

Tell him that you're putting off your life goals and ambitions for him so that he doesn't feel like he's being rushed into growing up faster.

You've heard the saying that if u luv someone, let it go. If it comes back to u then it's yours forever. I agree with Jaay, go have some fun and don't stay home to wait around 4 him. Pursue your goals & dreams. If it's meant 2 b then it will be later.

Definately moving on. It took 3 days for him to start f*ing someone at work! Thanks everyone for you're input.
